Free Admission... but we rely completely on donations...

Museum is open on Sunday, Monday and Friday - 2pm until 4pm

February until December

Closed from 22 December 2019 until 3 February 2020 for annual maintenance.

If you are unsure please contact the Battery or check out our Facebook page.

We are a dog friendly museum and site and you are very welcome to bring your dog (on a lead) to the museum. The gardens and nearby cove and surrounding woods are also dog friendly.

The Brixham Battery Heritage Group was founded in 1999, four years after the project was first started in 1995.

We are a group of volunteers helping to restore the Brixham coastal defence Battery built in 1940, and to provide on-site information to the general public and other organisations. The group uses the Artillery Training Section (ATS) hut as it's Education Centre and museum.

The dedicated group of volunteers maintains and have restored the grounds of Brixham Battery.  This includes the A.T.S building, War Shelter, Ammunition Tunnels, Generator Rooms, Gun Emplacements, Battery Observation Post (B.O.P), Pill Box and other structures around the site.

As well as maintaining the museum and grounds, we educate schools and the general public about the history and operation of the site during World War 2.

It's not just the buildings, it's our volunteers that make it so special
